I have it on good authority that starches make you fat. BigPharma agrees. I do not. Let's see who is right.


Day 5 - Starch Solution

Nothing new to report today other than I seem to be adjusting better to the diet. That is, although I still had a McDougall pot in the late afternoon (around 5ish), it was getting to the point where I could probably skip it. In this case I had it anyway as I had a lecture to attend in the evening and wouldn’t be able to get home for dinner at the usual time.

On that note, I had a cunning plan to pack a thermos full of boiling water so that I could potentially make noodles during the break in the lecture. Unfortunately I failed to take into the account the need for a fork to actually eat it with, so that was pretty much a bust. On the other hand I was able to make a mug of tea, which was pretty good as it seems this department does not provide refreshments for its students like the others do (no idea why).
