I have it on good authority that starches make you fat. BigPharma agrees. I do not. Let's see who is right.

Beans for breakfast today, although for an interesting twist, today they were Heinz beans rather than Smedley’s which seem to be popular here. Now I’ve been eating Smedley’s recently because that’s all that the shop had and as I mentioned before I’ve been eating them by themselves after warming them up in the microwave. Today with Heinz I noticed that the sauce is much thinner than Smedley’s. Smedley’s sticks to the roof of the tin and the beans themselves - the Heinz beans however didn’t seem to be all that attached to the sauce. It still tasted good, and I think it would work better on toast than Smedley’s as it would soak into the bread - but when eating it alone, probably Smedley’s would be better.

Lunch was the usual lunch box, so nothing unusual to report there. I did take the opportunity to go out and get some more cereal. Specifically, I picked up more millet, but next to it was some puffed brown rice. I have no idea whether that will taste good or not, but the millet was pretty decent so I figured I’d give it a shot. In any case I have plenty of soy milk at home to support more cereals so it’s all good. Can be had as a small snack or a breakfast on the weekend. All in in all, very useful to have…
