Today I had some of the puffed rice for breakfast, but didn’t really get to eat much as we were meeting family for lunch. Lunch went pretty well, although all I was able to get was some boiled lettuce. Sadly, upon getting to the bottom of the bowl I came across some seafood (which clearly wasn’t supposed to be in there) and so they made me a second batch. Now, I’m not an ethical vegan (although I admit to heavily leaning in that direction), but I was thinking, what if this was for someone whom it was a deeply ethical or religious thing? Ah well, something to watch out for…

I had an afternoon snack of freshly popped corn (yay for the microwave popper!) which I enjoyed with my son whilst we caught a movie. No one was particularly hungry at dinner time so I decided to make some curly fries. Those did not go well. The spiralizer did make the spirals but some parts were well cooked, others still raw. Not a great first experiment. Maybe I should start with normal fries…
