Starch Works

I have it on good authority that starches make you fat. BigPharma agrees. I do not. Let's see who is right.

Up again half a kilo from yesterday. That puts me at nearly 1.5kg up in just a couple of days. I’ve pretty much gone from the low end of the scale to the higher end in just a couple of days. However even with this big leap, my weight is still below the trend and so it’s still pulling it down. I have no idea what the cause could be of such a big jump, but I’m not worried about it - it’s just one of those things. Some days it’s less and sometimes it’s more than others.

Beans again for breakfast. I’d like to eat more cereal, but it seems the cereal I have isn’t all that filling and as I’d like to eat it at home (due to the soy milk supply), it has to last even longer than the beans… Maybe I’ll try a very large bowl tomorrow and see how it goes…

Lunch was the usual lunchbox (even though I didn’t have the dinner, I still got the lunchbox) and all was well there.

Dinner was a bit of a twist - I had a pizza! This was of course a veggie pizza without any cheese. I asked them to make sure there was no oil but this just confused them because they don’t use any oil in their pizzas and were wondering why I thought they did. In any case that was quickly resolved and so I waited for my delicious pizza. When I did get it though, it was all dried and sorry looking. It seems the cheese is really what holds it all together.

To be fair though, the pizza wasn’t half bad and it was reasonably filling as well which was something I had been worried about. I probably won’t order it very often, and don’t have any plans to do so at the moment, but it’s nice to know that I’ve got it there as an option should I want to indulge further.

As an added bonus, I got to see one of the new MythBuster episodes - and I have to say, they’re pretty good!
