Day 60 - Starch Solution

All well today and nothing special to report. Once again I ended up with my lunchbox for breakfast as I ended up making alternative plans for lunch. Still, that means more beans for another day!

Lunch was something of a mini celebration at Above and Beyond. Nothing too special, but it was a rare chance to dine with my wife and we got the opportunity to try their dimsum lunch menu, so it was all good. Well, I didn’t partake in the dimsum, and instead stuck to the veggie menu. The soup I had may have had some oil in it, but hopefully not much. The main dishes all had it for sure, so in the end I ordered a plate of steamed broccoli with a liberal helping of soy sauce. Very tasty indeed.

Needless to say given the chance that I had a fair old glob of oil, I’m going to take steps today to lower my calorie intake. To be fair, there’s probably no point in doing that and even if there was oil, it’s unlikely to have any serious impact on my goals. Still, it’s a good excuse if nothing else to walk a bit further on the way home tonight and to eat a little bit less later.

For those that are wondering, I’m not really obsessing over this. I’m just keen to limit its impact if I can without too much in the way of hassle :)

Dinner was a 12” subway sandwich and a good old fashioned bottle of water. It came with extra chili which gave it a much more powerful punch.
